Pitchwire is Live

Friday, April 6th, 2007

My friend Michael’s startup launched this week:

http://www.pitchwire.com

It’s half a PR service for publicists and half spam control on steroids for journalists. I’m not either one but I think it’s a really great idea. Anything that gives people more control over what information gets thrown at them gets a thumbs up from me.

Michael did a great job on the app. It’s all in Ruby. Even if you’re not journalist, go bang on it and give him some feedback - he’d love to hear from you.

“I know! Let’s get into the search engine business!”

“But how do we differentiate ourselves from Google?”

“Hmmm…good question. Wait, got I’ve got it! We’ll make the text REALLY BIG.”

“Brilliant! Let’s go build it!”

Unsurprisingly, Russell Beattie
thinks this is cool

This is the most uselessly cool thing I’ve seen in a while. It’s a bad joke taken way too far.

Vincent Grosso

Monday, February 6th, 2006

Somethingawful.com recently had a post pointing at a new and truly awful ‘for-sale’ page posted by actor/director/nazi Vincent Gallo. (I guess he thought his already plenty awful home page needed a comanion piece). He’s such a sad sociopathic narcissistic insecure right wing nut job, it’s hard not to feel sorry for him.

But he’s also just gross. But now he’s really really gross. Somethingawful actually seem to have missed the most truly awful part of Mr. Gallo’s little garage sale - go there and scroll to the bottom to see for yourself.

If that makes you feel as uncomfortable as it did me, it might help to go see that he has at least been deservedly fugged
