December 2004 Archives
At long last, I have my own open source home for a little bundle of code that I've had floating around for a while:
http://annogen.codehaus.orgFor a developer, Codehaus has been a really great place to be. There is almost always someone around on IRC to help you out. I haven't actually needed to much help getting set up, though, because you get pretty full access to go in and fiddle around with whatever you want. That in turn is pretty easy because everything is laid out and nicely-documented. And the tools that are provided are all really great and easy to use as well. It's like night and day when compared with the few months prior I spent in anonymous limbo at sourceforge.
As part of this move, I've also finally made the switch from CVS to SVN. Hope I never have to go back.
And while I'm complaining, what is up you people who just stand on escalators? You don't just stop and stand in the middle of a staircase for 15 seconds, do you? Are you obeying some kind of speed limit? At least yield on the left. Criminy.
